Capture the Atlas

The Milky Way Photographer of the Year was created by Capture the Atlas in 2018, curated by photographer Dan Zafra, with the goal of celebrating the beauty of our galaxy through photography.

Since its inception, this annual collection has grown into a global showcase of the best night sky images, bringing together the work of talented astrophotographers from all corners of the world.
